Romantic Killer (Japanese: ロマンティック・キラー, Hepburn: Romantikku Kirā), written and illustrated by Wataru Momose, is a refreshing take on the romantic comedy manga that follows the story of Anzu Hoshino, an unapologetically unromantic high school student. When a magical fairy named Riri disrupts her perfectly content life of gaming, cat-cuddling, and chocolate-eating to forcibly inject romance into her world, Anzu becomes an unwitting test subject in the magical realm's plan to boost Japan's declining birth rate. Despite her determined efforts to resist every romantic scenario, particularly after meeting the handsome Tsukasa Kazuki, the manga humorously chronicles her struggles against destiny, magic, and perhaps even her own heart, while cleverly deconstructing common romance manga tropes.
